Description
Watermark sensors are glued/riveted, on a semi-tender PVC tube, that we re-mould back in 2 diameters 25/22 mm. This, to insure a perfect contact with the soil, in its pre-hole made with the special spiral installing auger, designed with the same double diameter 25/22 mm.
6 Watermark sensors are installed, at least, with a minimum of 3 repetitions x 2 depths minimum. This minimum pattern is the only answer to the heterogeneity of humidity in the soil, under different irrigation modes : submersion, flow irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, pivots, micro-irrigation, drip irrigation, etc .. This annual heterogeneity is doubled by the pluri-annual heterogeneity of soil structure (compaction) of cultivated soils. Watermark sensors measure tension on a range of 0 cb (wet) to 239 cb (dry), monitoring precisely irrigation in almost all situation of crop, climate, soil and irrigation equipment.
In this presentation, the sensors with 2 m of wire are mounted on a 120 cm pipe, for individual reading. The commun wire is marked in white.
